Don’t go here…
I’m sharing my photos not the location. A piece of heaven in the countryside. Wood burning stove, my lovely lady, uninterrupted views, dancing birds and chilled out baby cows. Keep it special – don’t go there.

Five photos with little explanation
Playing around with Ricoh GR on a mini tripod with a bottle of Talisker Whisky and a long exposure gave result to these two moody shots from Berrima last autumn. The gate Moon tree I kayak on the harbour a few times a week. Love the way the morning light magnifies the colour on the [...]
Stop-frame helicopter sea rescue
Great stop-frame story of a fisherman’s rescue from the rocks near Tamarama beach by photographer Keith Loutit. The photo effect makes the people seem like plastic figurines in a diorama. I’ve found a few tutorials on how to make this effect with stills photography on Digg.

Glowing Cities Under a Nighttime Sky
Wiggly glow strings inform the sky. Shadowed wing. Journey to another land… @pablojeffress started following me on Twitter. Then I read his blog and then I saw this. Then I felt compelled to share. See more of Ettubrute’s (created the clip) timelapse work.

Scanned photos from Chile 1994
I’ve recently reconnected with an old friend, Tom Kay (top pic, far right), via an article in Monocle magazine (as you do!). Shortly after this, the Nordnorge appeared to turn such that all three cams were pointing away from the action. The Associated Press grabbed this image also and [...]

My Bestival Friends
Oh how I miss England. Such a relief to see my friends haven’t changed one little bit. Mortgages don’t effect them, marriages or even having children. Life is a party! I raise a glass to you all. Rob, Bruce and Olly!
FlickrSLiDR test with Tate Modern Photos
Created with Paul’s flickrSLiDR. Just found this on the Mashable blog, very cool app that lets you embed your flickr slideshows just about anywhere you fancy.

I/O Brush: Photographic paintbrush that paints with movement and colour
I/O Brush is a new drawing tool to explore colors, textures, and movements found in everyday materials by “picking up” and drawing with them. I/O Brush looks like a regular physical paintbrush but has a small video camera with lights and touch sensors embedded inside. Outside of the drawing canvas, the brush can pick up [...]
