No I’m not X-Type?

Are you X-Type? is the new campaign website for the The Jaguar X-Type 2.2 Diesel. Look maybe its me, but I find this pseudo online advertising really lame.

I pop my name in, watch some lame short film, and then in the final frame a personal message pops up. Now I know I’m not the target market, but even so… this feels vacuous and hollow – but no doubt expensive.

Excert from Digital Bulletin: Les Knight, national marketing communications manager at Jaguar UK, said: “20:20’s expertise in this type of digital communication allows Jaguar to talk to prospects in an exciting new way. The agency has captured the essence of the new X-Type.”

Well their happy and that’s what counts!

  • yeah agree - the benchmark was raised a while ago and this is pretty yawn - specially for teh budget they must have had - still my favourite of this genre is the sms one with the airline and the message is spelt out for you on the tarmac - forget the link but it rocked.
